- Crossroads
is a non-profit making organisation whose aim is to relieve
the stress of the Carer.
- We are
here for the Carer and focus on their needs and wants as well
as the person with care needs.
- All our
staff are rigorously interviewed and security referenced. Security
Referencing ensures the appropriateness of care attendants to
work in Carers' own homes supporting both them and their families
in their caring role.
- Crossroads
has a strict code of conduct and disciplinary procedures for
all staff.
- Our staff
follow a comprehensive training programme which includes:
- Medicines
administration
- Emergency
first aid
- Equal
opportunities
- Personal
care
- Manual
handling
- Health
& safety
- Food
hygiene
- Child
protection
- Vulnerable
adults protection
- Confidentiality
All of which are regularly
updated. Other topics are included as and when appropriate.
- Crossroads
has a comprehensive insurance package which ensures the safety
of both client and care attendant.
- Our staff
have strong office support, regular team meetings and individual
supervision. The Managers hold a mobile phone "out of hours"
thus enabling care support workers and clients to contact Management
at any time.
- Crossroads
employ a regular team and are almost always able to provide
cover when needed. However, because of staff sickness and unforeseen
circumstances we cannot guarantee this. We must point out that
we are not an emergency service but are generally able to respond
quickly to referrals.
